Oskar Yazan Mellemsether is a 21 year old half Norwegian, half Turkish artist from Trondheim. Oskar is a singer/songwriter in the traditional sense, heavily influenced by not only folk but also Americana and country. He’s a fixture on the local music scene in Trondheim, sometimes with the band ”Bolla & Lilleband” with whom he played all over the Trøndelag region in 2008-2009. Eventually Oskar decided to embark on a solo career. After many months of writing, the fruits of his labour first emerged via the “Trondheim Calling” compilation in the Winter of 2010. But Oskar feels it’s a little lonely to play on his own and as such has had a few of his mates come and expand his on stage sound.
