KINEE are a singer songwriter + DJ – both acoustic and electronic. Grand piano and vocals on the one hand, turntables and glowing screens on the other. Kine and Magnus met in the South Eastern town of Halden back in 2004 and shortly began to play together in a band, Magnus taking up duties behind the decks, Kine on piano / vox. Five years later and the pair having both moved to Oslo at the same time, they’re back at it this time as a duo. KINEE deliver the best of both worlds and ably prove that sounds that would normally be pigeonholed as girly or nerdy electronica can work so so well together. KINEE have opened for Uffie, played Klubb Trash Kassett Oslo hotspot Blå, and been on the bill at Øyanatt. They’re collaborating with Ralph Myerz on his new record and are well on the way to completing an album of their own for release in 2011.
