Rumble In Rhodos have been described as “genre rebels” for their bold and audacious tinkering with all sorts of different styles. They claim to draw inspiration from post-hardcore, dancefloor orientated post punk, no wave and other types of melodic underground rock. This past year the band have been hard at it in the rehearsal room, putting the finishing touches to their unmistakable sound. In 2008 the band released their second full length “Intentions” on Black Balloon Records, on which they relvealed a new way of sharing their energy which has perhaps made the band a bit more accessible, despite the record being more intricate and progressive than their earlier work. In late November 2010 there again were signs of life in the RIR camp, with the release of single “White Dancing”. In their own words, they have “mixed old-skool punk-funk with modish rock’n’roll to create something that crushes with one hand and caresses with the other.”
